What do your users and customers care about, when interacting with your product?
NOTE: This workshop is intended for founder teams that already have an idea they are working on. As you will work in groups on your ideas, please join the workshop with at least two members of your team.
This is part one of a three-part consecutive workshop series:
20.11.24: Human and Value Centered Design Workshop (1/3), 10-14 h
27.11.24: Prototyping and Testing Workshop (2/3), 10-14 h
04.12.24: Consultation on design and test results (3/3), 10-12 h
To fully benefit from the process, teams are encouraged to participate in all three workshops. Each session builds upon the previous one, guiding you from understanding user needs, through prototyping, to usability testing.
Designers and developers are responsible for the impact their digital products have on users. By incorporating ethics into the design process, they can anticipate and address potential issues early on. Today’s customers expect their values to be reflected in products, making ethics more important for startups. However, many startups lack the tools and resources to handle ethical concerns. To address this, we developed a practical approach that combines principles of HumanCentered Design (HCD) and Design Thinking, that helps startups integrate ethical reflection into their product design and development processes.
You will learn this easy-to-apply approach, which follows these steps:
1. Interview: Understanding user needs
2. Problem Statement: Defining the core user requirement
3. Ethical Consideration: Identifying potential negative consequences
4. Ideation: Sketching a design idea
